Moreland & Arbuckle are some local bluesmen that carry the flame and soul of classic American Roots music. Breeding a sound that crosses the Delta blues of the Mississippi with the seminal sound of ZZ Top playing on a busted jukebox in a West Texas BBQ joint—only to come back and kiss your country-loving granny right on the mouth.
The solid back beat of Brad Horner on drums and the warm and smooth guitar playing and vocals of Aaron “Chainsaw” Moreland accent the sound of Dustin Arbuckle on vocals and harmonica that drips with whiskey and soul.
M&A are a love letter written to the sound of the past and signed with a beer glass ring at the bottom – a band that’s not content with being just a local blues band on Friday night. Instead, they constantly tour the nation and record as much as possible.
With a new record and local and national gigs expected early this year, M&A are picking up steam and don’t show any signs of slowing down. In the meantime, here’s a little bit of informational brisket for you to chew on, courtesy of Mr. Chainsaw.
