GreenTangerine Publishing, LLC, publisher of NakedCity Magazine and owner of NakedCityWichita.com have recently signed a lease with Old Town developer, Dave Burk on the property located at 121 N. Mead, Suite 104. Construction will commence immediately to convert 4900 square feet of raw space into a gallery and venue to showcase Wichita visual arts, music and performance arts. The venue will also be available to businesses looking for an inspired setting for their meetings, conferences, and parties. NakedCity plans to open its doors to the public in September pending completion of construction. An open house will be announced at a later date.

Carrie and David Follis are looking forward with great anticipation to what they see as the next natural step toward expanding their business model. Carrie explains: “We were so excited to find out about this space. We know it will be a great fit for us since we have many interests in common with some of our new neighbors such as artist Steve Murillo, newspaper publisher Wichita Business Journal, and the folks at Studios United to name a few. Having the ability to showcase artists, musicians or performance groups, as well as promote their events through NakedCity Magazine and NakedCityWichita.com is something we’ve been dreaming about. The new space will help make all of this possible. To-date, we have been extremely fortunate to be surrounded by some of Wichita’s most creative writers, photographers, and artists who contribute to NakedCity each and every month out of love for our community. We can’t wait to open our doors and invite the public to come and meet the people behind these words and images. Of course, none of this would be possible without the continued support of our family, friends, colleagues, and savvy advertisers.”

If you are an artist or musician and would like more information about showing or performing at NakedCity, please send your inquiries to carrie(at)nakedcitywichita.com. If you are a business and you wish to inquire about use of the venue, please contact dave(at)nakedcitywichita.com. As always, NakedCity reminds you to buy, shop, support local.

I am so glad you are moving into our building. I am the weaver in the studio beside (maybe behind) you in Suite 107. Have had trouble finding Naked City and now I just have to walk out my back door! WELCOME. Come see me.

We are so excited to be moving in there too! Dave and I were just over there tonight. They aren’t wasting any time roughing in the storage room and electrical. This month is going to fly by. Next time we’re over there during the day I’ll poke my head in. Take care!
